INTRODUCTION TO PATHOLOGY GROSSING STATION
Pathology Grossing Station (PGS-02) is a specialized equipment designed to support the reception, inspection, grossing, and processing of tissue specimens prior to histological analysis and diagnosis.
PGS-02 is a specialized gross dissection workstation designed to accommodate two users simultaneously. It provides a dual-user workspace that enables pathologists and laboratory technicians to perform specimen measurement, examination, and photo/video documentation during gross dissection with precision, helping streamline specimen processing and improve workflow efficiency in laboratories and pathology centers handling high specimen volumes.
Developed and manufactured by ABT in accordance with medical quality management standards, PGS-02 is an ideal solution for use in anatomical pathology and forensic pathology departments, laboratories, testing facilities, and research institutes.
KEY FEATURES
Optimized workspace for two users to work independently
Spacious workspace with dimensions of 1840 x 900 x 2400 mm, featuring a full set of dual-sided utility systems, enabling two technicians/pathologists to work simultaneously without interfering with each other.
High-quality, chemical-resistant materials
Main body constructed from Inox 304 , with a worktop made of Inox 316 specialized chemical-resistant material, providing excellent chemical resistance and durability while minimizing vibration during gross dissection.
Health-protective exhaust air treatment system
Uses a granular activated carbon filter panel (replaceable carbon granules) positioned close to the work surface to block chemicals, especially formalin, from entering the working area. Integrated with a high-power exhaust fan (> 2100 m³/h) connected directly to the exhaust air system.
Modern digital observation & storage system
Equipped with 02 Camera Full HD 1080p with USB connectivity and mounts, along with 02 12-inch touchscreen tablets (RAM 16GB, SSD 256GB), supporting direct photo and video recording of gross specimen dissection and easy storage of specimen records.
Smart waste management system
Wastewater and excess specimens falling into the inclined trough are flushed toward the waste collection funnel and pass through an automatic 1 HP waste grinder (automatic reverse rotation mode), ensuring thorough waste processing before discharge into the pipeline.
Hands-free water & formalin supply system
Convenient foot-pedal control for the water and formalin dispensing taps, helping operators maintain maximum hygiene.Integrated with a peristaltic pump for precise formalin dispensing.
Optimal & flexible lighting
Integrated high-power white fluorescent lights with independent switches on both sides (convenient two-way switching), combined with 02 gooseneck lamps with flexible light direction adjustment.
