Giới thiệu TopSPEC® PRRSV RT-qPCR KIT
The syndrome of respiratory and reproductive disorders in pigs, commonly known as Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS), is caused by the PRRSV. This is a highly contagious and dangerous infectious disease that spreads rapidly and leads to a significant mortality rate in infected pigs, resulting in substantial losses to the swine farming industry. The disease affects pigs of all ages, with a potential mortality rate of up to 100%. Early detection of the disease within a herd plays a crucial role in mitigating the damages caused by the illness.
TopSPEC® PRRSV RT-qPCR KIT is a diagnostic assay designed to detect the presence of PRRSV, the causative agent of blue ear disease - Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome, in pigs. Additionally, the kit enables differentiation between PRRSV Type II (North American lineage), characterized by the ORF7 gene, and the highly pathogenic Type II (HP), characterized by the ORF1a gene, using One-step RT-qPCR.

Caution:
- The detection of the Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV) is most effective in pigs that are impacted during the early stages of PRRSV infection. This includes vulnerable piglets, lethargic pigs, weak nursing piglets, pigs exhibiting signs of anorexia, and recently farrowed sows/sows with signs of fever, anorexia, and clinical symptoms.
- After sample collection, it is advisable to transport the samples under cold conditions and store them in a freezer until testing is conducted.
