Introduction to TopSENSI ® Automated HPV PCR-RDB Genotype Kit (RUO)
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the etiological agent of cervical cancer in women and is classified into multiple genotypes. Low-risk types, such as HPV-6 and HPV-11, typically cause condyloma acuminatum, whereas high-risk types— most notably HPV-16 and HPV-18—are the principal drivers of cervical carcinoma.
HPV infection often progresses slowly and remains asymptomatic, yet it can lead to serious health consequences. Consequently, early detection and accurate genotyping of HPV are essential for personalizing patient care and enhancing the effectiveness of preventive strategies against HPV-related diseases.
TopSENSI ® Automated HPV PCR-RDB Genotype Kit utilizes polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in combination with automated Reverse Dot Blot (RDB). The kit enables accurate detection of 35 Human Papillomavirus (HPV) genotypes, including 14 high-risk types, 8 potentially high-risk types, and 13 low-risk types. After PCR, hybridization is performed using the HPV RDB Kit on the Automatic RDB Machine (RDB-A15) as instructed in the kit’s user manual.

The kit is capable of identifying 35 HPV genotypes, including:
