INTRODUCTION
Porcine circovirus 3 (PCV3) is a non-enveloped DNA virus belonging to the Circoviridae family. It has been detected in sows exhibiting dermatitis and nephropathy syndrome, as well as reproductive disorders such as fetal death. The virus increases mortality rates and reduces the reproductive success of pigs. Therefore, if not promptly and effectively detected, PCV3 can lead to significant economic losses in the swine farming industry. Therefore, PCV3 can cause significant economic losses in the swine industry if not detected promptly and accurately.
TopSPEC® PCV3 qPCR Kit is a molecular diagnostic assay designed to detect the presence of PCV3 – specifically targeting the ORF1 gene associated with disease in pigs – using Real-time PCR technology. The kit offers high sensitivity and specificity, making it suitable for both diagnostic and screening applications.
