INTRODUCTION
Swine enzootic pneumonia (local pneumonia) is one of the prevalent diseases causing significant economic losses in the swine farming industry. The disease, attributed to the bacterium Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, affects pigs of all ages, especially those within the age range of 1 to 3 months. Transmission of the disease primarily occurs through the respiratory route. Symptoms of swine enzootic pneumonia include coughing, wheezing, difficulty breathing, reduced appetite, weight loss, and decreased immune resistance. The disease can diminish reproductive capabilities and increase the mortality rate of pigs.
TopSPEC® Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae qPCR KIT is a diagnostic kit designed to detect the presence of the Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae bacterium - specifically targeting the P97 gene in pigs using Real-time PCR technology. This kit, with its straightforward procedure, facilitates the rapid detection of the pathogen with high sensitivity and specificity
