INTRODUCTION
Infectious Hypodermal and Hematopoietic Necrosis (IHHN) in shrimp is caused by the Infectious Hypodermal & Hematopoietic Necrosis Virus. Once infected, the virus destroys gland cells, lymphoid cells, and nerve cells, and it can spread both vertically and horizontally. Shrimp often die in large numbers 10-20 days after stocking. Adverse environmental factors combined with the presence of the virus exacerbate the damage significantly.
TopSPEC® IHHNV qPCR Kit is a testing kit designed to detect the presence of Infectious Hypodermal & Hematopoietic Necrosis (IHHNV) in aquaculture environments. The kit features optimized primers and probes designed specifically for accurate detection of the virus. Early detection of the pathogen helps minimize economic losses caused by IHHNV.
