ABT AUTOMATED NUCLEIC ACID EXTRACTION SYSTEM (EZ32)

1. Introduction

The ABT Nucleic Acid Extractor (EZ32) utilizes nucleic acid magnetic properties to create a rapid and batch DNA/RNA extraction process. Magnetic extraction technology helps save time in the DNA/RNA extraction and purification step for large amounts of samples. The capacity of the ABT extraction machine can be up to 32 samples per run for 30 minutes. In addition to standard consumables used to extract maximum sample volumes, ABT also provides consumables used to operate the extraction machine with small sample volumes, helping to save costs on chemicals and accompanying supplies.

2. Application of automated nucleic acid extraction system

This product is used for the extraction and purification of nucleic acids in molecular biology laboratories and clinical laboratories.

It has features as follows:

• The uniformly designed magnetic carrier bars help ensure that there are no residual magnetic particles. Suitable for all small sized magnetic beads.
• Limit foreign contamination with UV disinfection light system.
• Multiple programs can be edited, changed and cached on the machine ensuring consistent, highly repeatable runs.
• The dashboard-friendly interface allows user-friendly simultaneous display of running programs and parameters.
• Temperature control with automatic heating system enhances the efficiency of lysis and elution.

It is safer and more reliable for use. It can be used to extract DNA, RNA from whole blood, cells, and tissues and so on, so as to save time and labor.

7. Recommended extraction kits for EZ32 system

For the EZ32 automated extraction system (32 samples), consumables are offered in two solutions depending on the sample throughput:

7.1. Standard Capacity

Capable of processing 1–32 samples simultaneously per run.

– Deep-well plate consists of 96 wells, designed for use with ABT extraction systems. The product is manufactured from high-purity materials, sterilized and free from fine particles that could contaminate samples.

• Number of wells on the plate: 96 wells (8×12 wells)
• Well bottom shape: V shape

– Tipcomb is manufactured from polypropylene (PP), designed to cover the magnetic rods of ABT extraction systems. The product is optimized for handling magnetic beads due to their low binding affinity with nucleic acid molecules.

• Number of tips on tipcomb: 8 tips correspond to 8 magnetic bars
• Cylindrical shape with U-shaped sleeve bottom.

7.2. Optimal Capacity

Optimized for high-throughput workflows with multiple samples per run.

– Tipcomb is manufactured from polypropylene (PP), designed to cover the magnetic rods of ABT extraction systems.

– Strips tube ABT® EZ32 Strips Tube is manufactured from high-purity materials using advanced production processes to ensure consistency and high precision. The product is sterilized and free from fine particles that may contaminate samples. It can be used as a substitute for 1.5 mL tubes for sample storage and for magnetic bead-based extraction in single-use format.

Rack: ABT® EZ32 Rack (ART-001) is constructed from robust stainless steel, the product functions as a support base for strip tubes during magnetic bead extraction on ABT extraction systems.

*The consumables listed above are compatible with the EZ16 extraction system (1–16 samples per run), the EZ32 extraction system (1–32 samples per run), and several other Bioer models.
