INTRODUCTION
Vibrio parahaemolyticus found in seafood such as shrimp, fish, crab, and shellfish in brackish or marine waters, causing marine cholera – a type of gastrointestinal disease. The habit of consuming raw or undercooked seafood often leads to infection by V. parahaemolyticus. Acute enteritis and mild cholera are the main manifestations of the disease; additionally, the bacterium can enter through wounds and cause systemic sepsis.
TopSPEC® Vibrio parahaemolyticus qPCR Kit is a screening test kit for V. parahaemolyticus bacteria in food microbiology, aiding in food safety control and ensuring health standards.
