Introduction of TopSPEC® V. parahaemolyticus/ V. cholera qPCR KIT
Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio cholera are Gram-negative bacteria belonging to the Vibrionaceae family, characterized by their motility, facultative anaerobic nature, and typically straight or slightly curved rod-shaped morphology. Vibrio parahaemolyticus is notably recognized as a primary causative agent of Early Mortality Syndrome (EMS) or Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease (AHPND), resulting in mass mortality and severe losses in shrimp aquaculture. Meanwhile, Vibrio cholera is commonly associated with acute intestinal inflammation in humans following the consumption of contaminated food (seafood, water, etc.).
TopSPEC® V. parahaemolyticus/V. cholera qPCR Kit is a testing kit designed to detect the presence of V. parahaemolyticus/V. cholera bacteria in aquatic samples using the Real-time PCR technique, based on the presence of the tlh gene and hlyA gene. This kit facilitates early detection of these pathogens, contributing to the mitigation of adverse effects caused by these bacteria.
