Introduction TopSPEC® V.cholera qPCR Kit
Vibrio cholera is a Gram-negative bacterium belonging to the Vibrionaceae family, characterized by its motility, facultative anaerobic nature, and typically straight or slightly curved rod-shaped morphology. V. cholera is one of the causative agents of white feces syndrome in whiteleg shrimp. Additionally, it is known to induce diarrhea and vomiting in humans when contaminated food containing V. cholera is consumed. Therefore, early detection of the presence of this bacterium in aquaculture environments is crucial to minimize the severe consequences it may cause.
TopSPEC® V. cholera qPCR Kit is a testing kit designed to detect the presence of Vibrio cholera in aquatic samples using the Real-time PCR technique. The kit offers several notable advantages, including rapid detection, high sensitivity, and specificity.
