About TopSPEC® Swine FluA/B RT-qPCR Kit
Swine influenza is an acute infectious respiratory disease in pigs, primarily caused by influenza viruses belonging to the family Orthomyxoviridae. Among these, Influenza A virus (IAV) is the predominant pathogen, while Influenza B virus (IBV) is less common but has been sporadically reported in certain countries, suggesting that pigs may serve as potential hosts for both IAV and IBV. The disease is characterized by rapid transmission, fever, anorexia, coughing, and reduced productivity in pig farming.
TopSPEC® Swine FluA/B RT-qPCR Kit is a diagnostic assay designed to detect the presence of Influenza A Virus (IAV) and Influenza B Virus (IBV) associated with swine influenza. The kit targets the M gene and NP gene of the respective viruses using RT-qPCR technology. Early pathogen detection is essential for preventing and mitigating the severe consequences caused by viral infection.
