Introducing TopSPEC® HPV qPCR Kit
Black tiger shrimp that frequently stop feeding or eat less, show weak activity, are easily infested by microorganisms on the gills, shell, and appendages, exhibit opaque abdominal muscle, and experience mass mortality (50–100%) are showing typical signs of hepatopancreatic disease. Hepatopancreatic Parvovirus (HPV) is the main pathogen that parasitizes the hepatopancreatic cells and foregut epithelium, causing disease in shrimp. Commercial shrimp are typically infected in the third to fourth month of culture, significantly affecting shrimp quality and reducing farmers’ profits.
TopSPEC® HPV qPCR Kit is a testing kit designed to detect the presence of Hepatopancreatic Parvovirus (HPV) in aquaculture environments. Early detection of the pathogen helps minimize economic losses caused by HPV.
