Human Adenovirus, Rotavirus, Enterovirus, and Norovirus are common viral agents that cause acute diarrhea in children. Among them, Rotavirus is the leading cause of life‑threatening acute diarrhea in children under five years of age worldwide. Adenovirus not only induces gastroenteritis but is also a frequent cause of respiratory tract infections and conjunctivitis. Norovirus is recognized as a major agent of acute gastroenteritis, characterized by rapid transmission and frequent outbreak potential. Finally, Enteroviruses comprise a group of viruses responsible for a wide spectrum of diseases, ranging from mild fever and hand‑foot‑mouth disease to severe complications such as meningitis and encephalitis. Early and accurate detection of these pathogens is critical for timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
TopSENSI ® Rota/Adeno/Noro/Entero qPCR Kit enables detection of these viruses (Human Adenovirus – Hexon gene; Rotavirus – VP4 gene; Enterovirus – VP1 gene; Norovirus – ORF1 gene) associated with acute diarrhea in children, using RT‑qPCR technology. The kit offers several advantages, including a simple and rapid workflow, high sensitivity, and excellent specificity.
