Malaria is a common infectious disease caused by the Plasmodium spp. Symptoms and signs include fever (periodic) chills, sweating, hemolytic anemia, and enlarged spleen. In 2017, there were approximately 219 million cases of malaria worldwide, resulting in 435,000 deaths, primarily in children under 5 years old in Africa.
TopSENSI® Plasmodium spp. qPCR Kit is a testing kit based on Real-time PCR method that allows for the rapid and accurate detection of the malaria-causing agent in whole blood samples and patient DBS samples.
