VIRAL TRANSPORT MEDIUM (INACTIVATED)
The viral transport medium is used for the transport and preservation of clinical specimens. Its formulation contains viral inactivating agents that disrupt the viral envelope, ensuring that all viruses present are rendered inactive. Although viral particles are inactivated, the medium includes stabilizing components that preserve the integrity of viral nucleic acids, thereby ensuring that diagnostic test results remain unaffected.
Composition of the medium:
- Guanidine thiocyanate
- TCEP
- Sodium citrate
- Tris
- EDTA
- N-Lauroyl sarcosine sodium salt
- Antifoam A
- Phenol Red

The viral transport medium
HIGHLIGHTS
- Safe: Contains highly effective lysis solution for rapid lysis and inactivation of viruses, eliminating biosecurity hazards
- Advantage: VTM-002 simultaneously inactivates viruses while protecting against the degradation of nucleic acids.
- Storage at Room Temperature: stable to long-term storage of nucleic acids at room temperature
- Has a tight screw cap, can transport viruses SARS-COV-2, suitable for molecular biology detection.
