Viral transport medium (Inactivated) MT-001 is employed for the transport and preservation of clinical specimens. The medium contains viral inactivating agents that disrupt the viral envelope, thereby ensuring that all viruses present are rendered inactive. Although viral particles are inactivated, the formulation includes stabilizing components that preserve nucleic acids, ensuring that diagnostic test results remain unaffected.
