About Filter Tips
- Filter Tips are single-use components of micropipettes, designed for precise aspiration and dispensing of liquid volumes in scientific experiments or diagnostic procedures. They help prevent cross-contamination, ensuring safety and convenience during use.
- These tips are compatible with a wide range of micropipette brands, including Eppendorf, Thermo, Dlab, and others.
- Sterilization method: Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas
- Free of DNase and RNase, non-pyrogenic, low adsorption performance.
Manual instruction
- Selecting the appropriate filter tip for micropipette: Each micropipette range (e.g., 1–10 µL, 10–100 µL, 100–1000 µL) requires a corresponding tip size.
- Attaching the tip: Insert the micropipette vertically into the tip (placed in the tip rack), press down gently, and twist slightly to secure. Avoid excessive force, shaking, or impact, as this may deform the internal filter membrane.
- Aspiration procedure:
- Press the pipette plunger to the first stop.
- Immerse the tip into the sample liquid and slowly release the plunger to aspirate.
- Avoid rapid or deep aspiration, which may wet the filter membrane. A wet filter can block airflow and result in volume errors.
- Dispensing the liquid:
- Press the plunger to the first stop to release the liquid.
- Continue pressing to the second stop to expel any residual volume.
- Withdraw the tip from the receiving vessel and release the plunger to its original position.
- Tip ejection: Press the ejector button to discard the used tip into a designated biohazard waste container.
