Introduction TopSPEC® YHV One-step RT-qPCR Kit

Yellow head shrimp disease caused by Yellow Head Virus (YHV) usually occurs at the time of season change and is concentrated in coastal farming areas with high salinity. The disease usually appears in shrimp over 30-day old. Mortality rate increases gradually, can reach 100% within 7-10 days. When infected, shrimp often have the following symptoms: yellow or brown gills, yellow thorax, pale shells, swollen stomach and intestines.
