CTAB exhibits reversible binding affinity to DNA and polysaccharides. Specifically, under high salt concentrations (e.g., 1.4 M NaCl present in the extraction buffer), CTAB interacts with both DNA and polysaccharides. However, the CTAB\u2013DNA complex remains soluble, whereas the CTAB\u2013polysaccharide complex precipitates. Carefully transfer 500 \u03bcL of the upper aqueous phase to a new tube.<\/li>\n<li>Add an equal volume of ice-cold absolute isopropanol (2\u20138\u00b0C) and incubate at \u201320\u00b0C for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Centrifuge at 13,000 rpm for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Discard the supernatant, wash the pellet with 500 \u03bcL of 70% ethanol, and allow the DNA to air dry completely.<\/li>\n<li>Resuspend the DNA in 50 \u03bcL of TE buffer (10 mM Tris, 1 mM EDTA, pH 8.0)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Precautions \/ Warnings<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and respirators should be worn when handling chemicals.<\/li>\n<li>Exercise caution when
