Pseudorabies (PR)<\/span><\/strong> , also known as Aujeszky\u2019s Disease (AD), is a viral disease that affects pigs and other animals such as dogs, cats, and cattle. It is caused by the Pseudorabies virus (PRV), a member of the Herpesviridae family. ADV\u00a0infection in pigs leads to clinical symptoms including fever, anorexia, respiratory distress, and neurological signs. Infected pigs may also exhibit behavioral changes such as aggression or depression. The virus can be transmitted among pigs through direct contact with infected animals, as well as indirectly via contaminated equipment, feed, and clothing. Although ADV is a zoonotic disease, transmission to humans is extremely rare.<\/span><\/p>\n
