Additionally, samples preserved in this medium can also be used for DNA extraction for HPV-DNA testing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Cells preserved in <strong>ABT\u00ae Cell Preservative Solution<\/strong> under the action of alcohol and buffer salts will help fix and maintain their shape. Additionally, this solution inhibits the proliferation of microorganisms that are harmful to the cells, preserving the cells at room temperature for a period of time (at least 1 month).<\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"><strong>Specification:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Component: Methanol \u2265 35%<\/li>\n<li>Sample type: Gynecological (GYN)<\/li>\n<li>Appearance: Homogeneous, clear, colorless liquid, free from impurities and sediment. Has a characteristic product odor, with no unusual smell<\/li>\n<li>solution pH 5.5 \u00b1 0.2<\/li>\n<li>Cell preservation capability: Captures and stabilizes the shape of nuclei and cytoplasm of gynecological cells at 15 \u2013 25\u00b0C for 01 month<\/li>\n<li>Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture<\/li>\n<li>Storage: Temperature 15 \u2013 25\u00b0C<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Packaging: <\/strong>20mL\/bottle (DD-104).<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12210\" src=\"https:\/\/abtvn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/DD-104-300x169.webp\" alt=\"ABT \u00ae Cell Preservative Solution\" width=\"333\" height=\"199\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Procedure<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><em>Sample Collection and Preservation<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Cervical smear samples will be collected according to the Ministry of Health's procedure (Appendix 1, Decision 3877\/QD-BYT 2019):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Step 1: Place the duckbill into the vagina and adjust the position to ensure a clear view of the cervix.<\/li>\n<li>Step 2: Insert the sampling brush into the cervix, press gently, and rotate the brush clockwise 5 times.<\/li>\n<li>Step 3: Remove the sampling brush from the vagina and place it into the ABT\u00ae Cell Preservative Solution vial, gently rotating it 5-10 times. The head of the sampling brush is retained by detaching it from the handle, and the handle is disposed of properly.<\/li>\n<li>Step 4: Close the bottle cap and record the patient's information on the label.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Store and transport the sample at room temperature (15-25\u00b0C) for up to 1 month for cytological examination (Pap test) in cervical cancer screening. Additionally, the sample can also be used for DNA extraction for HPV-DNA testing.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <em>\u00a0 2. Sample Processing for HPV-DNA Testing<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Extracting and collecting DNA from cervical smear samples preserved in ABT\u00ae Cell Preservative Solution for HPV DNA tests, following the procedure below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Step 1: Draw 1 mL of the smear sample treated with ABT\u00ae Cell Preservative Solution into a 1.5 mL tube.
