Giới thiệu Plasmodium
Plasmodium is a single-celled parasite responsible for causing malaria in humans. To complete its life cycle, Plasmodium obligatorily parasitizes two host organisms including vertebrates (such as humans) and insects (mosquitoes). There are 5 species of Plasmodium gây bệnh trên người: P. falciparum, P. vivax, P. ovale, P. malariae, P. knowlesi with P. falciparum being the only species capable of causing fatal outcomes in humans. Individuals with malaria typically exhibit symptoms such as chills, fever with sweating, headache, and fatigue. Without timely treatment, patients can progress to severe malaria, malignant malaria, potentially leading to death
